ah well i looked up the lenses you have and i can still find them online, so i may just go with the d50. and vibration reduction and everything in the 18-200... dang, that's a hefty lens!

i wasnt initially planning on spending that much on lenses, but if it's that good, i'll just spend and not buy anything else for a little while

so i'm assuming it's alright to buy a used D50 then? i was a little wary because i don't really know how likely that would make it to break and stuff, since it probably wouldn't come with a warranty.

hey so i finally have almost enough money saved up for a DSLR, but i'm not sure what to get anymore. It's very hard to find any D50's that aren't used, for obvious reasons, and i'm not sure about getting a used one. also, is the d40x just as good as the d50? i know there is the limitation where i need the AF-S lenses, but i rarely see the old AF ones around to buy anyway. so i'm asking your expert opinion
